Accreditaton Council members

Andrew & Jennie Dees

 Jennie and Andrew Dees bring a wealth of experience and integrity to Ethos. 

Jennie Dees is recognized for her dedication to fostering ethical leadership, community engagement, and education. With over a decade of experience teaching lower elementary & preschool, she also founded a homeschool co-op and personally homeschooled her three children. Jennie’s commitment to nurturing growth and empowering others has made her a trusted voice in guiding teams and families toward meaningful impact.

Dr. Andrew F. Dees has devoted 30 years to Christian school education and is an ordained pastor. Beyond his extensive experience in leadership, he provides guidance and transformational help to both schools and churches, always ensuring that God remains central to their mission. His dedication to supporting educational and faith-based communities has earned him widespread respect. Together, Jennie and Andrew exemplify the values and vision that Ethos stands for. In 2020, they co-founded Core Prep and have continued to share their expertise by assisting churches and schools in areas of leadership, education, and spiritual development.

Mike Viera

Mike Viera brings more than 30 years of law enforcement experience to the Board of Directors, with a distinguished career dedicated to the safety, development, and well-being of children and young adults. For 17 years, he served in the School Resource Officer (SRO) Unit for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, including eight years in a supervisory role, where he helped develop and implement school safety initiatives and mentored officers serving educational communities.

A recognized trainer in Active Threat Management within a school environment Mike has extensive expertise in school security planning, crisis response, emergency preparedness, and creating safe learning environments. His experience provides valuable guidance in helping ensure that students, faculty, and families are protected while maintaining a positive educational atmosphere.

In addition to his public safety career, Mike has a long history of athletic leadership and youth development. He is a former Christian High School head football coach and has coached athletes at multiple levels, including serving as an honorary coach for the Florida vs. California 8th Grade All-Star Team and as a quarterbacks coach for a USA football team prior to NFL Europe. His commitment to youth athletics also includes coaching a 12-year-old team that captured a Florida State Championship in 2003.

As Security and Athletic Advisor, Mike is passionate about supporting the school’s mission of developing students spiritually, academically, and physically. He is committed to helping build a safe, Christ-centered environment where young people can grow in faith, character, leadership, and athletic excellence.

Mike and his wife Laura are lifelong Christians and attend Shining Light Baptist Church. 

Michael Mezger

 Michael Mezger was raised in Amarillo, Texas and moved to Tampa, Florida after middle school where he attended Jesuit High School. Following high school, he furthered his education at the University of Central Florida where he earned a bachelor's degree in liberal studies with areas of focus in commerce and communication and a minor in sociology. He earned a master's degree in educational leadership from the American College of Education after he began teaching.
Mr. Mezger has been a math and science teacher, as well as a math, science, and Marzano Instructional Framework coach at the school and district level.
Mr. Mezger was a program specialist before obtaining the role of assistant principal at Colonial High School) where he served in that capacity from 2017 to 2021. He then transferred to and held the role of assistant principal for the two years at Robinswood Middle School. Mr. Mezger has also served at University High School as an assistant principal.  Mr. Mezger holds dear the belief that teachers and students do not care how much you know until they know how much you care. He is a firm believer that the support of teachers leads to student achievement.
Mr. Mezger currently resides in Oviedo, Florida with his wife and 3 children. He enjoyed bike riding and spending time with his family. 
 

Shannon Sabsook

Shannon Sabsook is a proud Texas native, born in Corpus Christi, who has called Florida home for the past 33 years. At 40 years old, Shannon is a devoted husband and father, embodying strong family values in every aspect of his life. His deep commitment to service is reflected in his nine years with the United States Army as a Combat Engineer, during which he completed two combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, specializing in vital search-and-deployment missions for improvised devices.

Shannon attended community college for two years, where he developed a strong foundation in both academics and athletics. His background in athletic training and his keen business perspective enable him to bring valuable insights to the development and execution of school business plans. Today, Shannon continues to lead by example as a superintendent for a pool construction company, bringing the same dedication, integrity, and work ethic to his civilian career that have defined his life of service.

Keisha Reynolds

Keisha Reynolds is a dedicated educator and leader with a passion for nurturing young learners and supporting educational excellence. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and is a licensed Preschool Director, bringing a wealth of knowledge and practical experience to the field of early childhood education.

Throughout her career, Keisha has served in a variety of educational roles, including preschool teacher, lower elementary teacher, and preschool director. Her experience in both the classroom and administration has equipped her with a well-rounded understanding of child development, curriculum implementation, staff leadership, and school operations.

Known for her exceptional leadership abilities, Keisha is committed to fostering positive learning environments where students, teachers, and families can thrive. She believes that every child deserves a strong educational foundation and works diligently to cultivate programs that promote academic growth, character development, and lifelong learning.

Keisha's dedication to excellence, servant leadership, and the success of young learners makes her a valued member of the educational community and an integral part of the mission of Ethos Association of Schools and Organizations, Inc.

Andy “Coach Andy” Gines

 Andy Gines, known to many students and student-athletes as “Coach Andy,” brings a diverse background in Christian higher education, college admissions, athletics, and organizational leadership to the Ethos Accreditation Council.

Andy served in multiple roles at Johnson University Florida, including Director of Undergraduate Admissions and Recruitment, Athletics Admissions Counselor, and collegiate soccer coach. As both a head and assistant coach, he focused on developing student-athletes through mentorship, character, accountability, and Christian faith.

Since 2012, Andy has also helped domestic and international student-athletes navigate the college recruitment and admissions process through Coach Andy Recruiting.

Prior to higher education, Andy built an extensive career in retail loss prevention and asset protection, serving in store-level and regional leadership positions with major national retailers. His experience included investigations, safety, risk management, compliance, and employee development.

Andy brings this unique combination of admissions, athletics, leadership, and organizational experience to the Accreditation Council, along with a commitment to Christian education and helping schools create environments where students can grow academically, personally, and spiritually.
